The IRC: Seattle
general info about IRC donations
Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is the world’s leading nonsectarian, non-profit, voluntary organization providing assistance to refugees. IRC offers ongoing relief and resettlement services for families and children who are the victims of totalitarian oppression and persecution, and those uprooted by war, violence, and famine. The Seattle branch of the IRC empowers refugees to achieve self-sufficiency, community integration, and independence as they rebuild their lives. Since 1976, more than 18,000 refugees from 30 countries have resettled in Washington State with the help of IRC. Staff provides ongoing case management, job preparation and placement services, volunteer mentoring services, as well as literacy and language support. Your donation will go directly to refugee families resettling in South King County.
